November 24, 2016-Thursday-Thanksgiving Day-On my morning walk through Chinatown, I came upon this funny street scene along the 1300 block of Stockton Street at 8:31 a.m.
It was a topple over mobile traffic neon warning sign onto the sidewalk. Normally the traffic warning sign is located along the parked cars area to warn drivers heading toward Downtown along Stockton Street of impeding traffic lanes changing ahead due to the "Central Subway To Nowhere" constructions by Jackson-Washington-Clay Streets.
Someone or some group just thought it would be nice to alter the normal landscape in the area. On my way back home at 8:51 a.m. Someone must have notified the company, because it was made uprighted.
The crew that uprighted the mobile sign must be Thanksgiving helpers, whom could be mad of being call out in middle of either...watching a NFL football game, watching the Macy's parade or watching the turkey roasting in the oven, because they set the mobile sign backward.
The Wizard surmised that SFPD Central Station is located right up the next corner of Vallejo Street and these culprits were not apprehended...I forgot in the City monetary damages of less than $1,000 is not a crime! My keen detective mind think the culprit/culprits were a motorist that was tired of that mobile warning sign taking a parking space for so long!
Then to top off my walk as I approached Washington Square Park...
A impromptu memorial for all those that sacrificed this given day to fulfill our gluttonous desires!
The tears of those left behind...
And the quiet and serenity of those Summer in the fields.
Ending tonight with a visit to the medicines cabinet for a "Pepto-Bismol."
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
